Online Therapy.

Support, grounding, and trauma-informed care — wherever you are in Atlantic Canada.

Online therapy has become a natural, accessible way for many people to receive care. For my clients, it offers flexibility, comfort, and the ability to work together even if you live far from me, work irregular hours, or prefer the privacy of being at home.

I hear you — life is full, and reaching out for support should feel doable.

Who I work with online

I offer online therapy for adults living anywhere in:

  • Nova Scotia

  • New Brunswick

  • Prince Edward Island

  • Newfoundland & Labrador

Whether you’re in a small community, a rural area, or living in a busier city, we can meet in the ways that work best for you.

What we can work on together

Many people come to online therapy with concerns such as:

  • trauma and overwhelming life experiences

  • chronic stress, burnout, or emotional exhaustion

  • anxiety, worry, or a sense of being “on edge”

  • difficult relationships and attachment patterns

  • creative blocks, identity questions, transitions

  • grief, loss, or major life changes

  • or simply wanting a steadier, more grounded way of moving through the world

If something feels heavy, tangled, or too hard to name — you don’t have to carry it alone.

How online therapy works with me

My approach is warm, collaborative, and paced gently.
During online sessions, we may use:

  • EMDR (adapted for online work)

  • Music-based or creative approaches (when helpful)

  • Somatic/trauma frameworks

  • Parts work, narrative approaches, or grounding exercises

  • Cognitive therapies such as CPT or DBT-informed work

  • Hypnotherapy (when appropriate)

We go slowly, make space for what’s present, and use tools that fit who you are. You don’t need a perfect setup — just a private space, a reliable connection, and whatever helps you feel comfortable.

Is online trauma therapy effective?

Yes.
Trauma-informed online therapy is widely used and can be deeply effective, especially when the therapist is experienced with these models. EMDR, for example, has strong online adaptations that allow us to move at your pace while maintaining safety and containment.

Many people actually find it easier to process difficult experiences from the privacy of home.

Preparing for sessions

You don’t need much:

  • a private, quiet space

  • a device with a camera

  • headphones (helpful but not required)

  • a comfortable seat or place to settle

Before our first session, I’ll guide you through what to expect so you feel steady and prepared.

If you’re a therapist seeking supervision

I also offer online clinical supervision for therapists across Atlantic Canada who work with trauma, creative modalities, or who are in early stages of private practice.
You can read more about supervision on my dedicated page.

If you’re curious about working together

Online therapy makes it possible for us to connect no matter where you live in Atlantic Canada. If you’re wondering whether we might be a good fit, you’re welcome to reach out.
